Nestled in the heart of Cherry Hill Township, Kabuki Japanese Cuisine offers an authentic and vibrant taste of Japan’s diverse culinary landscape. Specializing in Japanese and Asian fare, this family-friendly restaurant is the perfect destination whether you’re craving delicate sushi rolls, hearty noodle dishes, or sizzling hibachi delights. With a menu that masterfully balances traditional favorites alongside inventive chef specials, Kabuki ensures every visit becomes a memorable dining experience.
The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the array of expertly crafted sushi rolls. Classics like the Spicy Tuna Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll exemplify freshness and precision, their flavors bursting with each bite. For those seeking something with a contemporary twist, the chef’s special rolls such as the Sweet Heart Roll—a tantalizing mix of spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and creamy avocado wrapped in delicate soybean paper—or the indulgent Godzilla Roll, deep-fried to perfection and drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce, are sensational choices that excite the palate with every mouthful.
Beyond sushi, Kabuki shines with its hibachi offerings. Picture succulent Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp sizzling on the grill alongside the savory Steak Teriyaki, all served with perfectly cooked rice and fresh salads. The Beef Yaki Udon or Soba noodles provide comforting warmth and texture, expertly stir-fried to awaken your taste buds with a fragrant mix of seasoned veggies and tender meats. For vegetarians, the restaurant doesn’t disappoint either, offering a variety of thoughtfully prepared options that celebrate fresh ingredients and balanced flavors.
Diners will also appreciate the thoughtful a la carte sushi and sashimi selections, including exquisite choices like Tuna Maguro sashimi and the uniquely flavored Tobiko sashimi served on crisp cucumber shells. These dishes highlight the quality of ingredients and showcase the chef’s expertise in maintaining the subtle, natural flavors of raw fish. For a sweet finish, the Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake is decadently rich yet light, providing the perfect end to a satisfying meal.
The ambiance at Kabuki is equally inviting. Spacious yet cozy, the dining rooms accommodate both intimate family dinners and lively group celebrations. The innovative hibachi seating offers an interactive yet slightly close-knit experience—great for those who enjoy sharing a fun meal with others, although it may feel a bit tight for some. The interior’s modern, clean design creates a welcoming atmosphere that balances casual comfort with a touch of elegance. Despite some mixed experiences regarding service—ranging from attentive and warm to a bit more impersonal—the overall guest feedback highlights a sincere commitment to quality food and enjoyable dining.
Kabuki Japanese Cuisine is more than just a place to eat; it’s a destination where the flavors of Japan come vividly to life. Whether you're savoring the crunchy tempura lunch box or indulging in the extravagant hibachi lobster, every dish tells a story of culinary passion and detail. For locals and visitors alike, Kabuki offers a dependable, flavorful journey into authentic Japanese dining, making it an essential stop in Cherry Hill’s vibrant restaurant scene.
I recently dined at Kabuki Restaurant and had a pleasant experience overall. Despite the lack of alcohol service, the food was delicious and the prices were fair. The ambiance was clean and inviting. However, our waitress seemed a bit distant and not very personable, simply going through the motions. Nonetheless, the lunch special I ordered was a great deal, providing ample portions of Miso soup, salad, rice, Goysia dumplings, the main course, and three California rolls, all for just $16. I'm definitely considering going back to try their sushi next time. It's a spot worth checking out if you're looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Great experience with chefs cooking . Good for bid group of people, some celebrate some events . Great atmosphere!
A fun, family place that serves delicious food. While the restaurant is rather spacious, seating for the Hibachi style cooking can be rather tight. You may end up sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. (Literally) If that is an issue, they have dining room seating where you can still order the Hibachi menu. The rooms are wheelchair accessible but once again the Hibachi area is close. The staff is great! There is plenty of Free Parking but pick your time wisely because it fills up quickly. (Parking is within the Mall parking) They accept cash and cards. Have a great time!
I enjoyed my meal here. The food was pretty tasty. Service was great, she was very attentive. I didn't know what to expect so I almost went elsewhere but I'm glad I decided to try it here. Now I can't wait to go back & try some of the other dishes.
Stopped by Kabuki when my wife was craving some sushi, Kabuki was fantastic. They have some great lunch specials and some of the best sesame chicken around. Perfect for a date with it's modern atmosphere and great service and you won't regret stopping by.
My first time to eat in this resto. The interior layout is very spacious. However they need to change the brand of their toilet paper. It’s too thin and breaks easily. For Sashimi Regular, the fish was fresh and yummy even the plating is excellent. The lambhorgini roll was also delicious and worth your money. We also loved their salad and their own salad dressing.
